Mayer Brown announced today that Washington DC-based partner Rajesh De, who leads the firm’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy and National Security practices, will rejoin the Homeland Security & Defense Business Council as a Senior Advisor.
Joining a group of private sector experts, most of whom are former high-level public officials who possess unique expertise in the homeland security enterprise field, Mr. De will provide advice and counsel, in coordination with the Board of Directors and Thought Leadership Committee, regarding issues that the Council could or should be addressing.
After nearly two decades in private practice and public service across all three branches of the US government, Mr. De is one of the most trusted voices in Washington. He previously worked as Staff Secretary and Deputy Assistant to the President; General Counsel of the National Security Agency; Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Legal Policy; and Counsel for the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. In 2015, he returned to Mayer Brown. Mr. De previously served on the Board of Advisors to the Council from 2007-2009 during his first stint at the firm. The Homeland Security & Defense Business Council
